The massive four-level parking structure serves the patrons of the Salt Lake City International Airport. With over 2,450 stalls, it is the largest parking structure constructed of silica fume concrete in the Intermountain area. The concrete strengths average in excess of 10,000 psi.
The concrete mix included nine percent microsilica. Epoxy rebar was used for reinforcement in this post-tensioned cable structure. The exterior finish is precast panels.
Layton completed the project more than three months ahead of schedule, resulting in significant savings to SLC Airport Authority and added convenience to the patrons |
