R.C. Willey Home Furnishings is one of the largest home furnishing dealers in the Western United States. After completing the R.C. Willey Intermountain Distribution Center in the Salt Lake International Center, Layton Construction was asked to build the R.C. Willey facility in Meridian, Idaho. The Idaho facility was their first venture outside the state of Utah.

The 150,000 ft2 facility is structural steel with a masonry block exterior and includes a 100,000 ft2 retail store and a 50,000 ft2 warehouse. Construction for the project began in December, with structural concrete and masonry crews working through the winter. An exceptionally wet spring made pouring the floor slabs a challenge.
