Layton constructed the Redlands California Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the finest quality craftsmanship and care possible.
Outside, visitors to the temple enjoy three water features and extensive landscaping surrounded by a powder-coated aluminum fence.

The temple exterior is clad with Chinese granite inlaid with custom art glass windows from London, England. Instead of typical woodwork, the temple’s interior includes extensive use of glass reinforced gypsum. The wall and ceiling finishes are ornate with gold leafing.
