NAPA Balkamp, a leading automotive parts distributor, wanted to expand their distribution center in West Jordan, UT. With our previous experience in warehouse and distribution, Layton was an easy choice.
The entire concrete tilt-up project was phased to minimize disruption to Balkamp’s ongoing operations.
Limited space on the site required that the slab-on-grade floor also be used as a casting bed for the tilt-up panels as well as a staging area for the crane and materials.
Some of the building’s features include the following:
• Pallet rack storage
• Receiving area with 7 dock doors
• Aerosol storage area
• Automatic doorway spill barriers for sprinkler flow containment
• Break room, restrooms, janitor and corridor
• Exterior patio
• Motion sensor light fixtures and thermal blanketed interior tilt panels for energy efficiency
